| Specialised in | Dr Felix Gmünder is the senior biosafety & biosecurity expert with Basler & Hofmann Consulting Engineers Switzerland. He received his MSc in microbiology and PhD in biotechnology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zürich). He became a trained clinical microbiologist, a certified occupational safety engineer and a registered biosafety professional as recognised by ABSA. Dr Gmünder served the Applied Biosafety Journal as the Associate Editor, was a member of the Swiss Expert Commission for Biosafety, and also a member of the American National Standard Institute’s committee for the development of the BSL-3 testing and performance verification standard Z9.14. Felix Gmünder designs, reviews and verifies high and maximum containment labs (BSL-3 and BSL-4) in Europe and Asia. He is a Swiss Biosafety Curriculum faculty member (BSL-2 and 3) and teaches tailor-made hands-on biosafety trainings too. |
